Entered Apr 2023. The Visayas State University Botanic Garden Herbarium (VSUBGH) was formally recognized as one of the core parts of the Zonal Center for Biodiversity Conservation and Habitat Restoration last February 2023. Although it\'s new, several collections were kept in the past years of continuous research on the native flora of the Visayas region in the Philippines, despite the global pandemic. With the institutionalization of the herbarium through Index Herbariorum, the project staff of the center would like to present its collections to a broader array of people in the region and globally. Through this, our access to the scientific world will be possible, and we hope to give proper identification to those species and give names to the unnamed species which are highly threatened by illegal poaching and primary forest destruction.
