    Entered Aug 2022. This herbarium is the herbarium of the only CSIR lab (38 CSIR labs in India) situated in the North East India. The herbarium housed more than 10,000 herbarium specimens. It contains more than 300 herbarium sheets of Dr E.K. Janaki Ammal as historical collection. The herbarium housed mostly collections of medicinal, economic and threatened plants of North East India. It is a good repository of the collections of Lauraceae and Myristicaceae.
