Notes

The objective of HECASA Herbarium is to contribute to the taxonomic inventory from Colombian Northeastern flora, to know the taxa distribution and to actualize the botanical nomenclature through the consolidation of a referential specimens collection to strengthen the principles of knowledge, conservation and sustainable use in the local, regional and national context. HECASA Herbarium wants to become in the principal botanical collection and the most important information source about taxonomy, morphology, anatomy, phytogeography and conservation of vegetal species from the region. Also, the herbarium looks for support undergraduate and postgraduate research projects especially from University of Pamplona, social diffusion and cooperation between public and private actors interested in environmental issues.
