    Entered October 2019. Until 2009, the Herbarium had approximately 10,000 specimens. However, in 2010, an earthquake struck, causing significant damage to the building, and resulting in the loss of about 40% of the collection. The Herbarium was assigned to a new building in 2015. Unfortunately, in 2016, a flood damaged the collection again, and we lost about 20%. Since 2016, our primary focus has been on the recovery of valuable old materials and the acquisition of new specimens. Currently, the specimens sheltered in our herbarium are being digitized.
