  • Notes

Entered Jun 2015 (research visitors by request only). Specimens are part of the John Muir National Historic Site museum collection where they are stored and maintained according to National Park Service museum standards. . In an effort to gain better intellectual and physical control over the specimens, we are beginning a partnership project with the University and Jepson Herbaria at the University of California, Berkeley, to have students and staff mount, digitize and catalog the Muir plant specimens. As a result of this project, the catalog records will be made available for viewing by the public on-line via the CollectionSpace program on the University and Jepson Herbaria website. Specimen images and catalog data will be available by UC/JEPS on public portal: https://ucjeps.cspace.berkeley.edu/ucjeps_project/public/publicsearch/. Research requests are by appointment only
