    The vascular plant collections in HNU date from the early 20th century to the present with most originating from Vietnam. Much of our knowledge of the vascular flora of the province and publications relating to it has relied upon these specimens. There are currently over 60,000 specimens in the Herbarium, including fungi, mosses, liverworts, algae, ferns, gymnosperms and flowering plants.
