Updated Aug 2019 (contact numbers). During World War II: small parts of BREM destroyed, others safeguarded by other institutions. Solanum collections of G. Bitter taken to GOET; Juncus collection of F. Buchenau in W; Algae of E. Lemmermann partly destroyed, indetermined material in B for examination; Rutenberg\'s Madagascar types possibly at CSR; most parts of the Lichen collections of Sandstede, W.O. Focke\'s Rubus collection and General Herbarium returned to BREM.
