    Updated Feb 2016 (general update). BJFC was developed on the basis of the original Forest Herbarium, which has a history of over 90 years starting from 1923 and has witnessed the whole process of the construction and development of the university. The main collections of BJFC include specimens of rare and endangered wild fauna and frola from forest, wetland and desert ecosystems, i.e. vascular plant, insets, animals, wood, fungi, soils and rocks. BJFC has got a collection of about 200,000 plant,110,000 insets, 2,000 fungi, 10,000 wood, and 400 soil & rocks specimens.
