Cotyledons fleshy, irregular (= cotyledons plano-convex)

  • Title

Cotyledons fleshy, irregular (= cotyledons plano-convex)

  • Definition

Seed leaves (= cotyledons) that are fleshy and irregular.

  • Notes

The cotyledons of Gustavia have been called plano-convex in the past but the embryos of this genus have very fleshy but irregular cotyledons that sometimes seem to be made up of more than two cotyledons; thus, we now use cotyledons fleshy instead of cotyledons plano-convex for species of Gustavia.
