Definition
The number of horizontal layers of ovules in a locule. A longitudinal section that removes the outside wall of a locule allows this feature to be seen with the most accuracy. Notes
In almost all species of Eschweilera there four or more columns and one row of ovules in both the E. andina and the E. parvifolia clades.
