A raised, somewhat rounded ridge running the length of the endocarp in the fruits of species of Grias.

Notes
All species of Grias possess endocarp buttresses which are more apparent as the fruits dry out. The endocarp buttresses of G. theobromicarpa are so prominent that they are very conspicuous in fresh fruits.
