Refers to filaments that are S-shaped to a more-or-less degree.

Notes
Sigmoid filaments are most commonly found in species of Lecythis sect. corrugata but can be found in other species. Do not confuse sigmoid filaments with arched filaments as found in species of Gustavia or with reflexed filaments as found in species of Allantoma and Grias.
