  • Notes

The staminal tube is thin in species of Cariniana and Gustavia and thick and fleshy in species of Allantoma and Grias. In Gustavia, the stamens all appear to arise from the edge of the staminal tube, i.e., the rim of the staminal tube; in Cariniana they arise from the edge of the rim as well as from the inside of the tube; and in Grias, depending on the species, they arise from the edge of an oblique rim (e.g., Grias longirachis) or from both the rim and from the inside of the tube (e.g., Allantoma lineata).
