Bracteoles inserted above the bracteoles in the pedicel/hypanthium continuum of Lecythidaceae.

Notes
In the New World Lecythidaceae, only species of Couroupita, Gustavia, and Grias have the articulation of their pedicels below the point of the attachment of the bracteoles. In species of other genera, the pedicels articulate above the point of attachment of the bracteoles.
