Notes
In Lecythidaceae, this feature is found only in the hypanthia of species of the L. corrugataclade with the exception of L. corrugata which has rugose hypanthia. Tuberculate outgrowths are more-or-less vertically oriented and appear to be sharply pointed. In contrast, rugose outgrowths are more-or-less horizontally oriented to the pedicel and appear to be rounded.
