Discussion
This is apparently still known only from the original collections by Schomburgk, and from the additional specimen cited below. The obtuse, cordate and subsessile leaves are unique in the genus as far as known.
The holotype, "Rich. Schomburgk, coh. no. 957," in "hb. Berol.," is assumed to have been destroyed. The K e w specimen of the same number is chosen as lectotype because it was distributed from Berhn, and it was annotated by Berg.
