    Species Description - Tomentose-puberulent subshrub 1–3 dm; lvs 3–10 mm, pinnatifid, with crowded narrow rounded segments, sometimes more elongate, to 3 cm, with more distant segments; heads solitary or few on naked peduncles, the disk 5–12 mm wide; cors conspicuously exceeding the invol; 2n=ca 45. Native of s. Europe, cult. for ornament, and established in waste places near Boston. Oct.
