Species Description - Plants 3–12 dm, freely (often subdichotomously) branched above; lfls to 10 cm × 5 mm, long-pointed; fr ca 2.5 mm, including the stout, 0.5+ mm beak, nearly or fully as wide. Roadside ditches and other wet, low places; s. Ill. and s. Mo. to Miss., La., and Tex.
