Description:Description - Plant parts usually with a thick bluish white bloom. Median lobes obovate, apex obtuse, midribs usually stout, lamina at sinus prominently overlapping; basal lobes more or less straight, not prominently recurved.

Discussion:While this subspecies is quite variable in morphology, its distinctive bloom readily distinguishes it from subsp recurvata.
