Species Description - Much like no. 2 [Acalypha rhomboidea Raf.], but the fr with 2 seeds 2–3 mm; petioles spreading, the blade abruptly drooping; 2n=40. Mesic sites at scattered localities from s. O. and s. Ind. to Tenn. and Ark. (A. rhomboidea var. d.)
