  Species Description - Resembling no. 1 [Galactia regularis (L.) Britton, Sterns & Poggenb.] in pubescence, and no. 3 [Galactia volubilis (L.) Britton] in habit and infl, the fls of intermediate size; 2n=20. Damp or wet thickets, low woods, and pond-margins; coastal plain from se. Va. to Fla. and Tex. July, Aug. (G. volubilis, probably misapplied)
