Species Description - Much like no. 6 [Dalea candida Michx.]; larger cauline lvs with 7–13 lfls; heads ± numerous, subglobose or shortly ovoid to 1.5 cm, less than twice as long as thick. Dry hills and prairies; w. Io. and w. Mo. to se. Neb., Kans., Tex., and n. Mex. July, Aug. (Petalostemon m.)
