Species Description - Much like no. 1 [Eubotrys racemosa (L.) Nutt.]; racemes curved or recurved, 5–12 cm; sep ovate, acute, 2.5–3 mm; cor 7–9 mm; anthers 2-awned; fr 5–6 mm thick, 5- lobed; seeds oblanceolate, flat, winged. Moist woods in the mts.; w. Va. and se. Ky. to ne. Ga. May. (Leucothoë r.)
