Description
Species Description - Woody, diffusely branched, depressed or decumbent, forming bushy clusters rarely over 1 dm; petioles 1–2 mm; lvs opposite, leathery, evergreen, narrowly elliptic, 5–8 mm, tomentose beneath between the broad midvein and the strongly revolute margins; fls short-pediceled from the axils of crowded upper lvs, forming a small umbelliform cluster; cor pink or white, 3–4 mm; fr rounded-ovoid, 4 mm; 2n=24. Circumboreal, s. to the higher mt. summits of Me., N.H., and N.Y. June–Aug. (Chamaecistus p.)
