Discussion
Cuatrecasas 12865 (US) from Sarare River Region between El Amparo and La Mesa, Cordillera Oriental, Norte de Santander, Colombia, collected between 1400 and 1700 m would run to this species in the key because of its extremely long ligule (to 50 mm long!). The inflorescence, however, agrees entirely with that of C. lima. The specimen might represent a new variety of C. lima, but it is also possible that it belongs to C. lima var scabremarginatus with some introgression of C. juruanus. This problem can only be solved after studying fresh material, including flowers.
