Description
Species Description - Much like no. 12 [Polygonum ramosissimum Michx.], and intergrading with it; plants nearly homophyllous; lvs rounded or obtuse at the tip, conspicuously veined, becoming rugose-veiny when dry; fls not so strongly restricted to the stem-tips, scarcely exsert, on pedicels less than 2 mm; 2n=60. Brackish shores and marshes along the coast, from Me. and Va.; less commonly and irregularly w. to Oreg., Calif., and N.M.
