Description:Latin Diagnosis - Arbor ad 30 m alta ramulis tomentulosis gemmis terminalibus ochraceo- vel ferrugineo-tomentosis. Stipulae plerumque bigeminae majores 5-7 mm alterae 2-3 mm longae. Folia 2-6-juga axi 13-35 cm longo tomentuloso supra bicostulato anguste-que canaliculato interjugis 2.5-5.0 cm longis, petiolo 4-13 cm longo, stipellis crassius-culis corniculatis circa 2 vel 3 mm longis. Foliola rigidula coriacea; petioluli 0-2 mm longi terminalis 12-25 mm; laminae 8-17 cm longae 4.3-7.0 cm latae ovato-oblongae vel elliptico-oblongae vel paulo lanceolatae basi latior inaequaliter rotundatae vel subcordatae apice attenuatae acutaeque margine crenato-serratae, crenaturis 4-12 mm longis mucroni acuto brevi; supra atrovirides primum puberulae demum nervo medio impresso-tomentoso excepto subglabrae vel glabratae; subtus moderate tomentosae vel tomentellae nervis secundariis 12-18 paribus prominentibus ascendentibusque angulo 50°-65°, nervis tertiis transversis et reticulo venulorum bene prominulis. Paniculae amplae 7-14 cm, congestiusculae pedunculo 1-3 cm longo ramulis crassiusculis plus minusve compressis tomentulosis pilis brevibus et longioribus plus minusve flexuosis sed patulis tectis, ramusculis ultimis (pedunculis) brevissimis seu nullis cum pedicellis articulatis. Pedicelli sessiles vel subsessiles mediocres vel crassi tomentelli 0-2 mm longi. Bracteae bracteolaeque stricte lineares 1.0-1.5 mm longae. Flores pentameri, raro hexameri vel tetrameri, unisexuales; calyx circa 2.5 mm longus, expansus 6-7 mm diametens lobis ovatis acutis 1.8-2.2 × 1.4-2.0 mm extus tomentellis intus dilute sericeis; stamina fertilia filamento 3-4 mm longo dimidia inferiore parte hirsuta pilis flexibilibus tenuibus 1 mm longis, antheris ellipsoideis basi cordatis circa 1.2-1.3 × 1 mm; ovaria circa 1 mm longa dense hirsuto-hispidula; styli 1 mm longi deinde 2 mm longo inf erne substrigosi. Folliculi globoso-ellipsoidei 3.8-4.0 × 3.0-3.5 mm dense tomentosi et hispidi, endocarpio cartila-gineo rigidulo ellipsoideo 3 × 3 mm longo angulo insertione subacuto, siccitate apperto U-forme.
