  Genus Description - Sep 5, small, spreading; pet none, staminodia 5, clawed, the nectariferous part transversely oblong, 2-lobed; stamens 5–10; pistils mostly 5–10; style subulate; ovules 2; fr an obliquely oblong follicle, with a single distal seed (or 2 seeds); low shrub with yellow wood, bearing a crowded cluster of pinnately compound lvs and several simple racemes or raceme-like panicles of small, purple-brown fls. Monospecific.
