Monographs Details: Anthodiscus fragans Sleumer
Authority: Prance, Ghillean T. & Frietas Da Silva, Marlene. 1973. Caryocaraceae. Fl. Neotrop. Monogr. 12: 1-75. (Published by NYBG Press)
Discussion:This species is known only from the type which was lost at Berlin. The small fragment at Kew is insufficient to evaluate this species accurately. It is related to A. klugii and A. trifoliatus on account of the acuminate leaves, but the acumen is much shorter and blunter than that of A. klugii, and the leaves are thinner and smaller.
