Description
Species Description - Like a larger version of no. 6; [Lycopodium inundatum L.] lvs 5–8 × 1–1.2 mm, sparingly toothed; fertile stems 1–3.5 dm, 1.5–5 mm thick, with appressed lvs; cones slender, 2.5–7.5+ cm, 3–8 mm thick, with ascending to appressed sporophylls; 2n=156. Acid soil of bogs, shores, and meadows; mainly on the coastal plain from se. N.H. to Fla. and Tex. and up the Mississippi embayment to w. Ky.; irregularly disjunct in the mts. of N.C. and Tenn. and in sw. Mich. (L. inundatum var. bigelovii)
