    Species Description - Much like no. 1 [Calopogon tuberosus (L.) Britton, Sterns & Poggenb.]; fls white to pink, avg smaller, the tep 9–18 mm; lip 8–12 mm, with a dense tuft of hairs at the base of the terminal expanded part; winged terminal portion of the column (when flattened out) triangular-elliptic, with subtruncate base. Wet pinelands and savannas on the coastal plain; se. Va. to Fla. and La. June. (Limodorum p.)
