Discussion:

Type, G. Rtuss, collected March 15, 1936, on the south side of Ekahanui, Waianae Mountains, Oahu, Hawaiian Islands, alt. 2250 ft., and deposited in the Degener Herbarium (no. 10684). Duplicate in Herb. Goteborg.

The new species is allied to F. dipetala (H. Mann) Engl. from the Koolau Range of Oahu, but differs markedly in the shape of the leaflets and anthers. An illustrated description of this new species will appear later in Degener's "Flora Hawaiiensis."
