Discussion
In A. decussatum subsp decussatum of the Venezuelan Guayana, from Ptari-tepuí, and Caroni-Cuyuni drainage, the lower surface and lower midrib of the leaves are abundantly puberulent. In subsp jauaensis this puberulence disappears from all or most of the lower side, at most with some minute sparse puberulence showing.
