Description:Latin Diagnosis - Herba simplex 0.7-0.8 metralis, caulibus 1-1.S mm diam quadrangularibus angulis acutis alis angustis praeditis; foliis petiolatis, petiolis 1.5-2.5 mm longis, laminis ad furcam inflorescentiae 13-jugis supra furcam 2-jugis remotis, lanceolato-ellipticis acutis basi in petiolum brevum subdecurrentibus desinentibus 16-18 × 3-4 mm glabris 1-nervatis, nervis lateralibus nullis, venulis tertiariis minute reticulatis; cymis 2-floris, floribus solitariis ad apices ramulorum elongatorum, pedicellis 3 mm longis; calyce 5-lobato, tubo 2 mm longo, lobis lanceolato-oblongis obtusis 3.5-4 × 1.6-2 mm glabris sed marginibus eroso-denticulatis secus medium carinatis; corolla subhypocrateri-morpha rosea 3 cm longa, tubo 2.6 cm longo basi 0.35 cm lato fauce 0.5 cm lato (in statu dessicato), lobis suborbiculari-rhomboideis apice rotundatis, marginibus minute erosis, 4-4.5 × 5 mm; staminibus 5 paullo ultra faucem corollae attingentibus autem lobis brevioribus, antheris rhomboideo-oblongis basi bilobatis 1.8 × 1.3 mm, filamentis supra basin corollae 4 mm adnatis liberis 23-25 mm; stylo glabro 25 mm longo, stigmatibus rhomboideo-obovoideis obtusis 2 × 1 mm.

This taxon is related to L. campanuloides Spruce ex Benth. and L. pratensis H.B.K., from which it may be distinguished by the obtuse instead of acute calyx segments, the rounded and broadly oblong-suborbicular corolla lobes, hypocrateriform corolla tube, and the rose-coral color of the corolla.
