Discussion:

Sprawling shrub with more or less zigzag branchlets, less than 2 m tall, collected along rivers at altitudes from 400 to 725 m. The number cited above (pistillate flowering and fruiting material) is the second collection of the species; both the holotype (staminate flowering material) and paratype (fruiting material) are from the Sierra Ichun region of the Alto Paragua.
