The collection of Maguire, Wurdack & Bunting 36031 is intermediate between typical var pygmaea and the variety described below, having stems 6-10 cm tall, and, although the corollas are small (1.6-2 mm long) as in var pygmaea, their lobes are dorsally pubescent as in var robusta.
