Description
Genus Description - Infl of a single subsessile fl completely embraced by the convolute 1-lvd spathe; fls regular; perianth salverform, the tube very slender, elongate, the limb spreading, pale yellow, its 3 outer segments slightly narrower than the inner; stamens 3, all alike, with inflated filaments and sagittate anthers that coil downward after dehiscence; ovary incompletely 3-locular; nectaries wanting; freely branching plants with linear, pellucid, grass- like lvs, the spathes sessile in the axils, the small fls expanded on the water-surface. Monotypic.
