Description
Latin Diagnosis - A subsp guadalupensis et subsp grosourdyana calyce hypanthioque breviore atque inflorescentia longiore recedit, calyce hypanthioque 1.5-1.6 mm longo glabro, calyce 0.7-0.8 mm longo, lobis late triangulari-lanceolatis acutis 0.2-0.4 mm longis 0.4-0.5 mm latis apice marginibusque minute sparse ciliolatis ceterum glabris; inflorescentia pedunculata, pedunculo 1.5-3 cm longo glabro; inflorescentia 2-3.5 cm longa 2-7 cm lata, axibus tribus principalibus 8-20 mm longis glabris; corolla sub anthesi 4.5 mm longa, extus glabra, tubo 3 mm longo, lobis 1.5 mm longis.

Discussion
The Venezuelan material differs from the West Indian specimens of subsp grosourdyana and subsp guadalupensis in the shorter calyces and hypanthia as well as longer inflorescences.
