Psychotria undata var poitaei Urb., Symb. 8: 678. 1921.

    Type. Jamaica, Swartz.

Psychotria undata Jacq. was described from the Bahamas, of which I have seen topotype material (Britton 3 from Blue Hill Road near Nassau, New Providence, 7-8 Apr 1904; Coker 28 from Mt. Vernon, 20 Jun 1903; Britton & Millspaugh 6203, 6213 from Watling’s Island, Graham’s Harbor to Cockburn Town, 15 Mar 1907), and P. nervosa from Jamaica. Moore (Jour. Bot. 69: 132. 1931) has shown that P. nervosa is the earliest name to be adopted for the P. undata-P. nervosa complex.
