  • Discussion

Type. Prope Panuré, Alto Amazonas, ad Rio Uaupes, Nov 1852, R. Spruce 2679.

The Williams 14603 collection was identified previously as F. chlorantha by Standley. Schumann gives the length of the corolla as 15-18 mm, but Spruce’s collection of 2679, isotype at NY, has a length of 20 mm. I am referring Pires 51812 from Belem, Pará, doubtfully to this species, since the pedicels show a minute puberulence and the leaves are few-nerved.
