Steyermark 97858 (US, VEN), from Cerro Jaua, Bolívar, Venezuela, has tentatively been referred to S. cacumina; the Jaua collection shows slightly larger and proportionately somewhat narrower leaf-blades than the Huachamacari specimens, but has only old inflorescences (the fruit apparently lost after collection).
