Amazonas: Cerro Duida, along Culebra Creek, alt 1600 m, 22-24 Apr 1949, Maguire & Maguire 29096; Cerro Duida, Río Cunucunuma, frequent along stream in dense rain forest, bracts 3, white, alt 300 m, 25 Nov 1950, Maguire, Cowan & Wurdack 29721; Cerro de la Neblina, Río Yatua, lowland and slope forests, locally frequent along streamside at Camp 2, flowers white, very fragrant, alt 140 m, 14 Dec 1953, Maguire, Wurdack & Bunting 36798; Ríos Pacimoni-Yatua, Casiquiare, locally abundant along stream course in mixed forest, flowers white, fruit green, alt 100-140 m, 30 Oct 1957, Maguire, Wurdack & Maguire 41985.The first records for Venezuela. Dicranopygium yacu-sisa has so far been reported only from northeastern Peru.
