    Distribution and Ecology - Distribution. Tropical America. Terrestrial or epipetric, usually in shade at low altitudes. In the Guayana Highland known only from the Río Orinoco just below the mouth of the Río Atabapo, Prov. Amazonas, Venezuela, alt 125 m, Wurdack & Adderley 43734 (NY, US).

    Lectotype. I choose the specimen labelled “Adiant. 3 radiatum” [in the hand of Linnaeus, the specimen perhaps from Jamaica collected by Sloane] (BM), which is the only specimen of this species in the Linnaean Herbarium and which agrees with the notation in Savage’s Catalogue.
