Discussion
This species is most closely related to C. fasciculatus (DC.) Planch, and the main differences are listed under that species. It is common in eastern Amazonia in the State of Para and the Territory of Amapa. Recently collected material of C. eriantha has been distributed under a number of different names. The following material belongs to this species.
