Discussion
This species, originally described from Para, has been reported from Suriname (Versteeg 409; Stahel 53) and French Guiana (Riv. Maroni, Sagot s.n.). The cited collections of flowering and fruiting material, complement Cowan 38615, collected along the lower Rio Amapari in immature fruit.
