Description
Distribution and Ecology - Usually a tree with opposite leaves more or less chartaceous, ovate or lanceolate-ovate, with an acuminate apex, somewhat restricted in distribution to the region of Roraima, but now known to occur in northern Venezuela.VENEZUELA. Miranda: rich forest on dry ridge of Fila Chivato Negro, northwest of Morrow between Alagrada de Arituco and Santa Teresa, Parque Nacional de Guatopo, J. A. Steyermark 90163 (fr. NY).
