Distribution and Ecology - VENEZUELA. Bolivar: Flank of Cerro Venamo, about 1200-1300 m alt., in rather dwarf rain forest, G. C. K. Dunsterville 898; bosque enano muscoso. Nor-Este del afluente derecho (Oeste) subiendo el Rio Venamo, arriba de la ladera escarpada de arenisca, 950-1400 m alt., epiphyte on tree, flowers yellow, December 28, 1963, J. A. Steyermark & G. C. A. Dunsterville 92284; bosque enano a lo largo del afluente Este del Rio Venamo, sobre el hombrillo superior del cerro, 1400 m alt., epiphyte, sepals and petals white, lip yellow with maroon-magenta at base dorsally, column white with purple tip, pollinia large and yellow, January 3, 1964, Steyermark & Dunsterville 92632; a lo largo del camino al Sur de El Dorado, vecindades del Km 117, 800 m alt., epiphyte on old fallen tree, flower white with yellow on lip, December 21, 1963-January 13, 1964, Steyermark & Dunsterville 92967.
