    Distribution and Ecology - VENEZUELA. Bolivar: Ilu-tepui, Gran Sabana, between Uarupata and Ilutepui, Camp No. 1, 1200 m alt., occasional epiphyte in open wallaba woodland, flower white with yellowish lip, March 8, 1952, B. Maguire 33312; same locality, on lower slopes of Ilu-tepui, between Base Camp and Camp No. 2, 1300 m alt., frequent terrestrial in swampy woodland, flower white with yellowish lip, bronze at base, March 23, 1952, Maguire 33545; Sororopdn, in middle of north-facing slope forest, 1500-1700 m alt., epiphyte, "Tepals white; lip cream," December 16, 1952, B. Maguire & J. J. Wurdack 33834; Chimantd Massif, Central Section, 1940 m alt., in rocky places along zanjones bordering savanna below Upper Falls above Summit Camp, leaves erect, rich green above and silvery green beneath, sepals and petals white, lip white with yellow at extreme base and dull lavender on lower sides, column white, February 7, 1955, Steyermark & Wurdack 591. This species appears to be limited to Venezuela, although the type was noted as from species appears to be limited to VENEZUELA, although the type was noted as from "Brasilia."
