Bolivar: Chimantd Massif, east-central portion of summit of Apdcara-tepui, 2450-2500 m alt., epiphyte, leaves coriaceous, grass-green above and paler beneath, pedicellate ovary and flower rich lemon-yellow, June 21-22, 1953, J. A. Steyermark 75891; Chimantd Massif, Central Section, on rocky slopes of zanjon bordering Upper Falls of Rio Tirica above Summit Camp, 1950 m alt., locally frequent terrestrial, leaves coriaceous and spreading-ascending, pedicels pale green, 2 mm in diameter, flowers rich yellow, February 7, 1955, J. A. Steyermark & J. J. Wurdack 564. ECUADOR (type of Ornithidium serrulatum) and PERU.
