Description:Distribution and Ecology - BRAZIL. Amazonas: Taracua, Alto Rio Negro, blooming in April, G. Hübner 176 (flower lost). VENEZUELA. Bolivar: Chimantd Massif, east-central portion of summit of Apdcara-tepui, 2450-2500 m alt., on tree at edge of summit, pseudobulb 2-angled, biconvex, leaves coriaceous, deep green above and paler beneath, sepals and petals copper-reddish, lip copper-reddish and yellowish, June 21-22, 1953, J. A. Steyermark 75917 (flower imperfect) ; Sierra Ichún, on sandstone rock at the summit, lat. 4°46', long. 63° 18', 625-725 m alt., leaves erect, stiff, coriaceous, olive-green, December 27, 1961, Steyermark 90277 (no good flower); bosque hiimedo en las vecindades del K m 119 al Sur de El Dorado, 1030 m alt., epiphyte on fallen log, leaves coriaceous, above dull green irregularly spotted with gray-white, beneath grayish, January 12, 1964, Steyermark & Dunsterville 93030 (Aff.
